Employees Retirement System (ERS) is working with Aon Hewitt, an independent company, to conduct an audit to make sure dependents covered in the Texas Employees Group Benefits Program are eligible for coverage. You will receive an audit letter and email reminder that ask you to send copies of documents to prove that the dependents you cover in health insurance are eligible. Please don’t send your documents to Aon Hewitt before you receive your letter.
If ERS does not have your current address, you won’t receive the request for documents during the dependent verification audit and your dependents will lose their health, dental, and life insurance. Please go to the ERS website and sign in to your account to verify that your mailing and email addresses are correct so you’ll receive your audit letters and email reminders for the dependent audit. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure we have good contact information.
