The Texas Income Protection PlanSM (TIPP) has a new online self-service feature that lets active employees file short-term and long-term disability claims and check claim status at any time.
Participants must log in to their accounts from the TIPP Self-Service button on top of the TIPP home page to file or check claims online.
Please remember that only active employees will be able to use this feature. TIPP participants who’ve left state employment should file claims by phone.
Any participant can still file a claim and check claim status by calling TIPP Customer Care at Aon Hewitt toll-free at (855) 604-6230 (TDD – 711), 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. CT, Monday – Friday. A claim manager will contact the participant within 24 hours after filing a claim (online or by phone).
Participants should file claims as soon as they know they’ll be out of work due to disability. This will ensure they get their disability claims processed in a timely manner.
