ESO is launching new competencies for the Staff Performance Evaluation Process that more effectively support the University’s Mission and Values. These new competencies are expected provide a clearer understanding of how employees can successfully perform their job duties and contribute to UHD’s success.
The new competencies will appear in all UHD job descriptions within the next week. In addition, all future ESO professional development courses and learning activity advertisements will list applicable competencies.
ESO Vice President Ivonne Montalbano will send UHD staff an email this week with more information about the new competencies.
The following information sessions are scheduled in the Milam/Travis Rooms to help staff better understand the new competencies and provide them an opportunity to get their questions answered:
- 1/23 – 9 a.m.
- 1/23 – 2 p.m.
- 1/26 – 9 a.m.
- 1/26 – 2 p.m.

- In CATALOG, click on all staff opportunities
- Click on search to locate each New Competency Information Session
The new competencies will only apply to the 2018/19 Staff Performance Evaluation Process (Performance Period: January 2018 – December 2018) and do not apply to the 2017/18 Staff Performance Evaluation Process, which is currently underway (Performance Period: January 2017 – December 2017).
