All employees enrolled in the State of Texas Dental Choice Plan^SM preferred provider organization (PPO) or the DeltaCare® USA dental health maintenance organization (DHMO) plan will get a welcome letter in the mail this month. The letter will include their Delta Dental ID number.

Enrolled employees and your eligible dependents will not get ID cards. Participating dentists should not require them. They should be able to enter the participant’s name in the system and find their membership information. A dependent can get coverage at an in-network dentist by giving their own name, or the employee’s name and Delta Dental ID number.

If you want an ID card, beginning September 1 you can:

• Register for a Delta Dental online account at www.ersdentalplans.com and print an ID card and/or
• Download the Delta Dental app to their smartphone to access a virtual card. (Dependents will not have access to the Delta Dental app.)

Only the your name will be listed on the card.
