Sports and Fitness This Week: CPR, Biggest Loser Challenge, Yoga for Beginners

Join UHD Sports & Fitness for the following upcoming challenges and workshops:


CPR /AED Certification (Feb. 7 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.)

To register, sign up at the Student Life Center (3rd Floor Desk Member Services). Course is located in room N-602. There is a $25 fee for certification.

 


Biggest Loser Challenge (Feb. 7 – April 20 )

Jump start your 2020 resolution and win money for the most amount of weight lost. Join as an individual or pair up with a group. The contest includes a $10 entry fee, online tracking and a weekly weigh in.

Yoga for Beginners (Feb.11 from 1-2 p.m. in room N-602)

Ready to learn yoga? Attend this introduction of the main aspects of yoga. Bring your questions about yoga practice, application and benefits. There will be a presentation and some physical movement of breath and body. Thirty minutes of lecture and 30 minutes of movement. All levels welcome.

Light refreshments and healthy snacks will be provided. Attend in person and enter a drawing to win a special UHD Sports & Fitness prize.
