Summer pet safety tips

Summertime is finally here! For humans, heat and humidity are an uncomfortable burden. For pets, they can quickly become life threatening.

Before your employees and their pets head out for some fun in the sun, send them this checklist of safety tips for hot summer days.

  • Save walks for the morning and evening when temperatures are cooler
  • Watch for signs of heatstroke, such as raspy panting and drooling
  • Cut open a tennis ball and stuff it with treats for a fun indoor game
  • Keep pets on the grass whenever possible to avoid burned paws
