As of September 1, Consumer Directed HealthSelect and HealthSelect participants will no longer need to meet their annual deductible before in-network diagnostic A1C testing for diabetes is covered.
Participants will still pay coinsurance for diagnostic testing. In-network preventive A1C testing will still be covered at no cost to participants.
Because there is no in-network deductible for HealthSelect of Texas and HealthSelect Out-of-State, there is no change to these plans.
All HealthSelect medical plans, including Consumer Directed HealthSelect, cover preventive care from in-network providers at no cost to participants. This includes:
- General health screenings
- Immunizations
- Health counseling
- Certain cancer screenings
- Prevention-related screenings for pregnant women
- Some age- and gender-specific screenings
