About the instructor:
Dr. Rogers is a translational researcher and practitioner known for developing innovative interventions that engage people in healthy lifestyle behaviors. Her expertise comes from years of experience performing professionally in theatre, dance and working in production design and media combined with a solid academic foundation in exercise physiology, behavior change, and weight management. The collision of these 2 worlds and her experience teaching many movement disciplines for the last 25 years, allows her to design creative and engaging wellness programming and she is known for her creative approaches for getting people to move more and sit less. She loves working with media and technology to design her programs and has developed on-demand workout and social media-integrated platforms for several research and wellness entities. Dr. Rogers has been asked to Blog for the American College of Sports Medicine, comment for various media outlets related to her expertise in physical activity promotion and engagement, and has written for The Conversation US, in addition to writing 1st- and co-authored peer reviewed research publications.
