Learn your weight management style

We each have our own ways of doing things. Even if we’re not aware of why we do what we do, we know what works for us. Repeated actions become our habits; and our habits can reflect our personalities.

This also applies to our eating patterns. To learn your eating style, take this three-question quiz and use what you learn to set your weight management goals.


Choose the answer that best describes you. Then, see if you are eligible for a HealthSelectSM weight management program, and if so, which program might be best for you.

  • How often do you snack during the day?
    1. I snack often, even if I’m not hungry.
    2. I don’t really snack. I only eat when I feel hungry.
  • When it comes to the foods I eat, I:
    1. Tend to be picky and stick to my favorites.
    2. Like to try new foods.
  • If I had to track the food I eat, I:
    1. Would have a hard time because I like to be more spontaneous.
    2. Would have no problem at all because I like more structure.

Results: Wondr or Real Appeal?

If you circled Option 1 more often, Wondr® may work better for you. If you like to eat only what you like, Wondr can teach you how to eat those favorite foods—even if they aren’t technically “good” for you—and still lose weight and improve your health. And, if you really don’t like to follow a set schedule, Wondr resources are available to you whenever it’s convenient. You’ll also be able to connect with a health coach if and when you want to.

If you circled Option 2 more often, Real Appeal® might be the best option for you. As someone who doesn’t mind trying some new foods and likes more structure, you could benefit from Real Appeal’s scheduled weekly coaching meetings that guide you to try new, healthier foods while minimizing the unhealthy foods you eat. You will also be able to track what you eat, which can help you see the link between different types of food and your weight management goals.

What if I already have healthy eating habits?

If you already have a healthy eating plan and lifestyle, Wondr or Real Appeal may not be a good fit for you. But you still have great resources to maintain your health—or take it to the next level! Log in to your Well onTarget portal. You’ll find information on health eating and exercising, as well as personal challenges. When you finish a challenge, you earn you Blue Points to spend in the online shopping mall.
