UHD employees who participate in HealthSelect have access to a variety of health and wellness resources and tools through your medical plan. These resources are available at no cost to you, and with HealthSelectShoppERS, you can even earn rewards for making cost-effective provider choices.
Care Management Program
The care management program is made up of a team of dedicated clinicians who take a holistic approach to address your medical and mental health concerns and questions. Whether you have an upcoming surgery and have questions, recently had a surgery and need follow up support, or if you were recently diagnosed or are managing a condition, a clinician can support you and your family. Our clinicians listen to your concerns and take your history, lifestyle and behaviors into account when offering guidance.
If you have questions for a clinician about a physical or mental health concern or condition, call Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas at (800) 252-8039 (TTY: 711) between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. CT Monday—Friday and ask to speak with a clinician.
HealthSelectShoppERS is an incentive program that allows you to save money and earn up to $500 per family, per plan year in a TexFlex health care flexible spending account (FSA) when shopping for certain medical services and procedures. The HealthSelectShoppERS program can help you:

- Estimate your out-of-pocket costs, and
- Earn incentives for shopping for certain medical services and procedures.
If you are enrolled in Consumer Directed HealthSelect, your reward will be deposited into a limited purpose FSA.
