Care Management Program

The care management program is made up of a team of dedicated clinicians who take a holistic approach to address your medical and mental health concerns and questions. Whether you have an upcoming surgery and have questions, recently had a surgery and need follow up support, or if you were recently diagnosed or are managing a condition, a clinician can support you and your family. Our clinicians listen to your concerns and take your history, lifestyle and behaviors into account when offering guidance.

If you have questions for a clinician about a physical or mental health concern or condition, call Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas at (800) 252-8039 (TTY: 711) between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. CT Monday—Friday and ask to speak with a clinician.

HealthSelectShoppERS

HealthSelectShoppERS is an incentive program that allows you to save money and earn up to $500 per family, per plan year in a TexFlex health care flexible spending account (FSA) when shopping for certain medical services and procedures. The HealthSelectShoppERS program can help you:

• Compare costs for many health care procedures,
• Estimate your out-of-pocket costs, and
• Earn incentives for shopping for certain medical services and procedures.

If you are enrolled in Consumer Directed HealthSelect, your reward will be deposited into a limited purpose FSA.

Weight Management

Managing weight is difficult for many people, but a support system can make it easier. You can apply to join one of two weight management programs, Wondr or Real Appeal, at no additional cost. Your acceptance in either program is not guaranteed. You are eligible if you are:

• an employee, retiree or dependent enrolled in a HealthSelect plan (excluding Medicare-primary participants),
• 18 or older, and
• have a BMI of 23 or higher.
