Celebrating Boss’s Day

A person wearing a suit and tie is standing in front of the steering wheel of an arrow-shaped boat while a team of people use oars to propel themselves forward.

Boss’s Day was Monday, October 16, and we want to share a heartfelt “thank you” for everyone serving in a supervisory, leadership, or management role at UHD.

From directing strategy to managing difficult conversations and plenty of other duties in between, the role of a supervisor, leader, or manager is multifaceted. Whether you lead an individual, one team, multiple teams, or an entire division, we commend you for your dedication to those you lead.

Boss’s Day has been celebrated for over 60 years as a way to show appreciation for employers and leaders in organizations. Though the celebration has evolved over many decades, the spirit remains the same: showing appreciation for those who lead. If you are interested in showing appreciation to your supervisor, leader, or manager, here are some free ways you can do so:

  • Write a card expressing your appreciation
  • Share a few words of appreciation at a staff meeting
  • Submit a kudos through MyTalentSpace
  • Send a quick email, Zoom message, or Teams message
  • Create a short video with your team

Thank you, once again, to everyone serving as a supervisor, leader, or manager at UHD. Your contributions are crucial to our continued success, and we appreciate you for choosing UHD as your employer of choice!
