UHD’s Staff Council hosted “Fizz and Crunch,” an informal networking event for UHD staff, on Tuesday, March 12, and the event was anything but flat: dozens of staff members from across campus gathered in the beautiful rotunda area on the fourth floor of the Commerce Street Building for an afternoon of networking and connection with one another while enjoying hot popcorn, candy, cold drinks, and plenty of laughs.

Lively music filled the air while staff members circulated inside the rotunda and outside on the patio, and Staff Council Executive Board members served hot popcorn for attendees to use as they constructed their own personalized popcorn mix with candies, seasonings, and other delicious toppings. This casual, come-and-go event, which fell on a crisp spring day, provided the perfect backdrop for attendees to indulge in some good-natured UHD pride as they viewed the striking new sign that adorns the One Main Building.

A few special guests also joined the fun: Dean Schwartz, Dean of the College of Public Service; Jay Zambrano, Vice President for Advancement & University Relations; and Dr. Loren J. Blanchard, UHD President, stopped by to connect with UHD staff and enjoy the tasty treats.
