There’s only 2 chances left to win tickets to UHD Staff Appreciation Day with the Houston Astros on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 28!
This week’s trivia contest, which closes at 4 p.m., awards the first 100 staff to answer correctly free tickets to attend the game. Winners will be announced Monday in Skyline.
In addition, just by completing this week’s contest, participating UHD staff are also entered for a chance to win use of a reserved parking spot next week (August 1-7) in the Academic Building Garage. The winner will be drawn from all contest entrants from the past three weeks and notified via email.
Next Friday, August 5, is the last day of UHD’s Trivia Contest. Staff are encouraged not to miss out on their chance to attend a baseball game with their colleagues during the work day. Any remaining tickets will be distributed at the Staff Council Meet & Greet on August 17. Additional details about the Meet & Greet’ event coming soon.

Contest & Event Rules
- This contest closes at 4:00 p.m. today.
- All non-temporary UHD staff are eligible to participate.
- Only one entry allowed per person.
- Participants may only win once. Limit one ticket per employee.
- The game on Wednesday, September 28 takes place during working hours. For this reason, state law necessitates the following conditions:
- Offices must remain open between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.. Supervisors will therefore designate a skeleton crew to remain on campus during the event. Staff who cannot attend on Wednesday, September 28 due to campus staffing requirements, will be eligible to attend another game at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27.
- Employees who attend the game on Wednesday, September 28 may not consume alcohol during business hours.
- Winners will be announced in Skyline on Monday.
- Winners can pick up their tickets at Staff Council’s “Meet & Greet” on August 17, 2016. Additional event details coming soon.
