It’s getting close to academic/fiscal year end, Gators, which means that it’s time to think about vacation accruals and maximum carry-forward amounts!
Accrued vacation leave may be carried forward from one fiscal year to the next in accordance with the included Vacation Accrual Schedule, which can also be found on UHD’s Vacation webpage. All hours of vacation leave that may not be carried forward at the end of a fiscal year will be credited to the employee’s sick leave balance on September 1, the first day of the next fiscal year.
Checking your leave balances is easy, and we encourage you to monitor your balances regularly and to discuss vacation time off with your supervisor in advance whenever possible to avoid vacation hour lapse to sick leave.
Here’s how to check your leave balances:
- Log in to PASS with your username and password
- Your username is everything that comes before the “@” in your business email address.
- Select the “Time” tile
- Select the “Absence Balances” tab
- You may have to expand the “Instructions” drop down menu to see the entire list of instructions
