There’s only a few days left to stock up on prescriptions, attend medical appointments or make approved healthcare purchases before the Plan Year 2014 TexFlex health care account grace period runs out.

UHD employees with leftover health care account funds have until Saturday, November 15 to use them. Plan Year 2014 funds were from the September 1, 2013 – August 31, 2014 period.

For health care purchases made by November 15, the deadline to file claims on those purchases is December 31, 2014. To file a claim, use the Health and Dependent Care Claim Form, found on the TexFlex website.

Starting September 1, 2015, employees will be able to carry over up to $500 into the next plan year (Plan Year 2016).

The carryover does not apply to TexFlex day care accounts. Day care accounts will still have a fund use grace period of November 15 each year.
